Beijing will unify all the parking areas of shared bikes.
At present, Haidian District  (960 spots), West City District (980 spots) and Shijingshan District (225 spots) etc has begun to plan their own shared bike parking areas, and even appointed No-Parking areas. Beijing Traffic Committee is setting the technical guidelines for shared bike parking spaces, and unifying them via color, size and marks, etc.
Relevant specialists suggested that two tier bike racks shall be set up for creating more space, and double decker bike racks have been built neat to Changqun Street Subway Station and Chongwenmen Subway Station.
Shared bikes have active influences on urban transportation and citizens’ travel habits. More bike riders can reduce the use of other traffic modes.  According to some survey results, the flow of bikes has been increased by 30% on some road sections due to appearance of shared bikes.
In addition, Beijing will ensure the bike riding space further in the urban areas. Beijing Traffic Committee and Land Planning Committee prepared the bike and walking traffic regulations last year, and now waiting for approval.
Up to 2020, six key districts of Beijing will perfect the first row of bike lanes in the urban area, e.g. set the handrails to reduce the influances of cars on bike cycling, etc. In addition, all kinds of technical guidelines for bike planning design will be issued this year, including two-wheel bikes, electric bikes and tricycles, etc.
