Recently, North Youth Community Newspaper reported that “Two Tier Bike Parking Garage” had been seen near to Eastsouth Exit of Beijing #4 Subway Zaoyuan Station. Our reporter has proven from Daxing District Management that 27 two tier bike parking spots will be built, which is used to solve the insufficiency for non-motor vehicle parking space and now this project is under construction.
Yesterday our reporter saw two rows of two tier bike racks had been installed on the bike parking spot near to Eastsouth Exit of Zaoyuan Subway Station, and the bikes can park on both sides of each row of two tier bike racks. A warmhearted lady called MIss Li said “Great, we willl have no worry about bike parking space, our bikes will park on the roadside neatly in future, and it will be better in subway station layout!”
“Subway station is a place with high visitors flow rate, and the parking space for non-motor vehicles outside the station is seriously insufficient, many bikes and motorcycles take up a large space due to their irregular parking arrangements”, said by a leader in municipal management department. This double tier bike rack parking spots will spread over 10 subway stations from Xihongmen Station to Tiangongyuan Station, 27 parking shelters will be estimated for construction, over 9900 bike parking spaces will be available, and it will solve the disorderly parking problem of non-motor vehicles effectively to put these parking spots into service. In addition, this leader also disclosed that over 500 parking spaces will be used for storing motorcycles and electric bikes in these parking shelters.
It’s learned that this project has been started in April this year. In future, these parking spots will be daily managed by setting one automatic control station for each parking spot, which will be used to guide and help each user how to use the two tier bike racks, thus the maximum role of two tier bike racks will be realized.
